ఛీటింగ్ కేసులో బడా నిర్మాత అరెస్ట్

ముంబయి : చిత్ర నిర్మాణం కోసం పొందిన రుణ మొత్తాన్ని ఒక మల్టిప్లెక్స్‌లో పెట్టుబడి పెట్టిన సిని నిర్మాత మొహుల్‌ కుమార్‌ను జుడీషియల్‌ కస్టడికీ తరలించారు. అరెస్టు వారెంట్‌ మేరకు శనివారం ఆయనను పోలీసులు హైకోర్టులో హాజరుపరిచారు. హఠాత్తుగా ఆయన ఆరోగ్యం క్షీణించడంతో కూపర్‌ ఆస్పత్రిలో చేర్పించారు.

64 సంవత్సరాల వయస్సు గల మొహల్ కుమార్...తిరంగ,క్రాంతివీర్ వంటి బ్లాక్ బస్టర్స్ ని అందించి పరిశ్రమలో బడా నిర్మాతగా పేరొందిన వారు. జుహూలోని పెన్‌ ఫిల్మ్‌ కంపెనీ 2000 సంవత్సరంలో నిర్మాత మొహుల్‌ కుమార్‌ చిత్ర నిర్మాణం నిమిత్తం రూ.ఆరు కోట్ల ఆర్థిక సహాయం అందించింది. అయితే ఆ మొత్తాన్ని జాంనగర్‌లోని ఒక మల్టిప్లెక్స్‌లో పెట్టుబడిగా పెట్టారు.

12 ఏళ్ల తరువాత మొహుల్‌ కుమార్‌పై కంపెనీ జుహూ పోలీసులకు ఫిర్యాదు నమోదు చేసింది. ముందస్తు బెయిల్‌ కోసం కుమార్‌ పెట్టుకున్న అభ్యర్థనను సెషన్‌ కోర్టు తిరస్కరించింది. అనంతరం హైకోర్టు బెయిల్‌ మంజూరు చేసింది. అభియోగపత్రం దాఖలు చేసేటప్పుడు కోర్టుకు హాజరు కావాలని ఆయనను ఆదేశించింది.

 Following the order of the magistrate court in Andheri (east), the Juhu police on Thursday arrested Mehul Kumar (64), producer of blockbuster movies like Tirangaa and Krantiveer, on alleged charges of cheating and criminal breach of trust.  According to Juhu police, the complainant is the head of Popular Entertainment Network (PEN), Mumbai based Jayantilal Gada who in the year 2000, had invested 6 crore with Kumar for making a movie. But, Gada approached the Juhu police in 2010 with an allegation that Kumar never used the money to make a film and instead invested it in a multiplex in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Gada then approached court no.10 in Andheri magistrates court and the Juhu police was directed to register an FIR in 2010.
